Pottery classes at Newcastle Cathedral

For the first time ever, I’ll be running a series of pottery classes in the beautiful Newcastle Cathedral. Here's what’s planned.

Ceramics

23 June, 11:30 am - pet bowls

Join us for this hands-on workshop where you'll craft a ceramic pet bowl. Working with stoneware clay, you'll master the art of hand-building the pots using slabs of clay. Whether you prefer to draw your decorations or use a variety of stamps, you'll create one-of-a-kind ceramic pet bowls especially for your furry friend. Book.

17 August, 11:00 am - plant pots

Join us for this workshop to make your very own ceramic plant pots from the ground up! Learn the art of hand-building plant pots using clay slabs and decorate your pots with hand-drawn designs or choose from an extensive collection of stamps to create personalised patterns. With two sizes available there's something for every green thumb! Register.

17 August, 1:30 pm - mugs

Get ready to sip in style and join us for a laid-back, enjoyable workshop where you'll create your own pair of ceramic mugs. Let your creativity flow as you decorate your mugs how you like, and perfect for your favourite beverages. Book.

29 September, 11:00 am - tapas dishes

Come along and craft your own trio of small serving dishes, ideal for tapas, olives, and other snacks!  You'll get hands-on experience shaping the dishes with stoneware clay and personalising them by drawing decorations or selecting from stamps to craft distinct patterns. Register.

Tuition will be provided by two experienced ceramicists in all workshops so whether you're a newbie or have experience under your belt, our relaxed atmosphere ensures a fantastic time for all.

All materials and firing are included along with use of equipment on the day.

Children are more than welcome to join in the fun at any of these workshops, making them a fantastic activity for families.
