Firing up pottery workshops for wellbeing

As I mark three years in business, I’m excited to launch workshops specifically designed to enhance wellbeing in the workplace.

In addition to making and selling my own ceramic pieces, I offer pottery workshops where adults and children can learn to create and decorate everything from tapas dishes and cake stands to pet bowls, mugs, plant pots, vases, and wax melters.

With a background in teaching and a degree in glass and ceramics, it felt natural to combine these skills into something new. I’ve been amazed by how my business has grown and by how many people are eager to get hands-on with clay.

While running the workshops over the past couple of years my customers have kept telling me they find making pottery incredibly calming. Handling and modelling clay and using a potter’s wheel means they must focus on the present moment so it’s a great way to improve mental wellbeing

Research has shown that workplace stress, anxiety, and burnout cost UK businesses billions each year. Pottery, along with other craft activities, has been proven to help alleviate these symptoms.

That’s why I’m so excited to introduce corporate wellbeing workshops.

These sessions give teams a chance to step away from their usual routines, tap into their creativity, and prioritise mental health, all while having fun.

Whether for team building or as part of a wellness initiative, these workshops are a valuable investment in both employees’ wellbeing and overall productivity.

When you join me for a workshop all materials and tools are provided to create something special. Afterward, you’ll leave your creations with me to be fired, glazed, and finished.

Whether you’re an individual seeking a creative outlet or a company looking to invest in your team’s wellbeing, I offer a unique experience for everyone.
